Ed Gordon is a life long lover of the printed image. He studied Graphic Arts and Photography at Illinois State University, receiving his undergraduate degree in Industrial Technology and developed a passion for photo imaging. He started his professional career as a commercial offset lithographer, for the prestigious Gunthorp-Warren Printing Company in Downtown Chicago in 1977. After spending several years selling poster art and other forms of print media, he returned to his first love affair...the camera and the lens.

Late in 2005, with the emergence of digital photo technology, he created EdgeSportsPhotography.Com, one of the first web based sports photography business in the Chicagoland area. As a youth sports specialist, he was contracted to coordinate sports photography programs in the western suburbs, concentrating on high school competition and eventually covering national sporting events.

In 2007, he began moving more in the direction of portrait photography, spending more than half of his time doing corporate portraits. Today he shoots hundreds of portraits a year for financial and industrial clients and has transitioned into the world of "Hybrid Photography".
